"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him." John 6:53-56
The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Catholic faith. We begin our journey to the Eucharistic table at our baptism. At our First Communion, we are able to fully share in the Eucharistic banquet receiving the Body and Blood of Christ.
The usual age for First Communion is age 7 often during 2nd grade. The Diocese of Little Rock requires one year of religious education prior to the sacrament year.
Children enrolled in St. Boniface Catholic School participate in Faith Formation and are involved in Sacrament Preparation.
For those students enrolled in public school, sacramental preparation will be completed in our Parish Religious Education Program. For more information, contact our Director of Faith Formation at 479-783-6711.
