Baptism is the first sacrament of the Church in which you express your desire for your child to be raised in the Catholic faith. During this sacrament, we are welcomed into the Catholic faith and freed from original sin. If your child is older than 7 years old, then your child should go through the RCIA program. If you are an adult seeking Baptism you will go through the RCIA program. 

Parents must be properly prepared for this sacrament. This preparation is twofold. First, your must contact the church office to complete an information session. The purpose of this session is to not only to register for the baptism preparation process, but also to determine the parents' intention to raise the child in the Catholic faith, to determine the parents' own relationship with the Catholic Church, and to answer any remaining questions or concerns. We will need a copy of your child's birth certificate.

After the initial meeting, parents and godparents will need to attend a Baptismal preparation class. The purpose of this class is to explain the sacrament and what will be happening during the rite. You must attend this class a minimum of two weeks before your child's Baptism.

El bautismo es el primer sacramento de la Iglesia en el que expresas tu deseo de que tu hijo crezca en la fe católica. Durante este sacramento, somos bienvenidos a la fe católica y liberados del pecado original. Si su hijo tiene más de 7 años, entonces su hijo debe ingresar al programa RICA. Si es un adulto que busca el Bautismo, necesitara ingresar al programa RICA.

Los padres deben estar adecuadamente preparados para este sacramento. Esta preparación es doble. Primero, debe comunicarse con la oficina de la iglesia para completar una sesión informativa. El propósito de esta sesión es no solo inscribirse en el proceso de preparación del bautismo, sino también determinar is intención de los padres de criar al niño en la fe católica, determinar la relación de los padres con la Iglesia católica y responder a cualquier pregunta o duda que tenga. Necesitaremos una copia del certificado de nacimiencto de su hijo.

Después de la reunión ininial, los padres y padrinos necesitarán asistir a una clase de preparación bautismal. El propósito de esta clase es expllicar el sacramento y lo que secederá durante el rito. Debe asistir a esta clase con un mínimo de dos semanas antes del Bautismo de su hijo.
